I was thinking about this earlier today working on an Astro project... and I got to thinking, XF backend with Astro frontend, hot damn that would open frontend design potential to create some amazing and highly interactive user experience of using a forum.
Now I'm starting to ponder how useful that REST API could be for this!!! Geez I wish XF 3.x was something that cool... it would kick other forum software to the kerb for design possibilities. WebSockets would need adding.
