how do i update my style without change any thing i add in it , like backgrounds oe any edits i make before ?!

No other way round the main theme is the original one, the child will only include the modifications.

tabootyou have to create a child of that theme and do your changes only in that child, if you then get a new version you just overwrite the parent one and all your changes should remain in the child one.
