I just want to confirm I didn't install it wrong.

I'll need to import the main_style.xml as parent style and child_style.xml underneath for every new theme? But they seem to be the same thing, just a master style-child style relationship? So I'm supposed to make any changes to the child style only? Also I only show the child styles to users and let them to choose from, right?

I just found the child style is different than the parent style for the style (UI.X). I don't understand the logic behind...

And is there a dark version of UI.X Material?

Thats normal, sometimes the child themes expand the main theme, or provide different color scheme to it, so in that case you could let the user choose between the main or the child theme.
