Can having too many add-ons installed cause your site to completely go down?

My server admin says I have too many add-ons which is causing the site to have a error 500, is that possible?

Kilowallownot that I know it could be slow down your board. but it also depends on the addons some of them do not like others and the combination could cause problems. It is also possible that only one addon is causing your problem. deactivate all and activate step by step more addons to see where the problem is located.

And see if problem gone then try to delete last addons your install one by one.
