RSS Feed/News xml reappear?

I wholeheartedly love being able to delete or not have certain parts of the XML, as I never need them. The rest is great; I can quickly see what I need and click on it. When I want to check multiple addons in Storm, the file list is much shorter without a couple of dozen files. Unfortunately, it seems something is causing these files to reappear. Is it the build-release? I don't want that; can it be disabled?
