XenForo checks if the PHP binary path is correct when saving settings, however it does not check this at runtime.
If the path is incorrect at runtime (maybe due to a PHP upgrade or server move), transcoding silently fails - no error is being logged and the user also doesn't get a message that transcoding failed.
It would be nice if this could also be checked at runtime so some kind of error could be generated / logged.
