I've been using Borg for backups for a few years and I've been very happy with it. We do dual backups, one via Emborg and one via Borgmatic -- both are just frontends for Borg.
However, recently discovered a new backup program called Plakar. It has a ton of really neat features and the learning curve is definitely not as hard as Borg.
