RSS Feed/News Dragging media into post area creates still image plus img dimensions?

I have some users who are dragging GIFs into the post field and it displays them correctly when posting but it also posts a still image of the first frame of the GIF and next to it the dimensions of the GIF like (218x429). I'd post an image but I always correct it myself.

Any thought on this or can you disable the ability to drag stuff into the post field?
