First of all, yes...this is a legitimate Google email.
Second of all, yes...this site is still using 1.5 but within the next couple of weeks will be running 2.2.
Anyway, this arrived a few hours ago:

The reported URL references the XF link proxy. The type of content linked to is something that would never be posted on the forum. Or if it was, it would have promptly been removed...
