By default, XenForo 2 uses https://whatismyipaddress.com/ to check user IPs when needed. However, it’s slow and cluttered with ads. Recently, I’ve been using https://checkip.me/ instead. It not only provides proxy/VPN detection but also delivers cleaner, faster results with no ads.

Instructions​
