RSS Feed/News Can a search forum use prefixes OR tags OR title keywords

Is there a way to get a search forum to find threads with certain prefixes or tags or title keywords? When I choose criteria of prefixes or tag or title word, the search only finds threads with all of those criteria.

How can I do that?
