So when using the Inner-text animation feature with a gif, specifically this gif: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4a/Color_changing_gradient_rainbow.gif the username & usertitle on profiles is all black instead of displaying them with the effect from the gif.
Is there something that can be done to fix it so it displays with the effect from the gif or is that just how it is? I'm also using the AC.UI theme if that matters.

might be the gif causing the problem or the css to adjust the gif to fit to the username

JaceYes, most likely happens when you dont have

CSS:
background-clip: text;
-webkit-background-clip: text;
color: transparent;

applied to your text when using background

SplichoSorry for the late reply. I tried a bunch of different gifs of varying sizes and all that & it didn't change anything.
I did find the template of the add-on which does the animations so I'll paste that code here in case there's anything I can change in there to fix it.

HTML:
<xf:foreach loop="$apSsFont" key="$fontId" value="$fontPath">
    @font-face
    {
        font-family: '{$fontId}';
        src: url({$fontPath});
        font-style: normal;
        font-weight: normal;
        font-display: swap;
    }
</xf:foreach>

#ap-ss-innerTextAnimation
{
    -webkit-background-clip: text;
    background-clip: text;
    -webkit-text-fill-color: transparent;
    text-fill-color: transparent;
    background-size: 200% auto;
    animation: innerTextAnimation 7s ease-in-out infinite alternate;
}

@keyframes innerTextAnimation
{
    to { background-position: 200%; }
}

CSS:
.memberHeader--withBanner .username {
    text-shadow: -1px -1px 0 #000, 1px -1px 0 #000, -1px 1px 0 #000, 1px 1px 0 #000;
}

it's because of this class, remove it.

SplichoMuch appreciated. Also I noticed if you toggle the sidebar then scroll to the bottom there's a ton of space under the footer. Is there any way to fix that?
