At the suggestion of @djbaxter a new widget position has been added. The "sidenav" position, by default is on the left side of the page, the "sidebar" position is on the right, and the content position is in the middle of the page.
When adding a widget, use the
[CinVin] Home: Sidenav position name to put the widget on the left.
NOTE: Even though the 'sidenav' looks like the 'sidebar', it behaves differently by default! For example, on small screens (below 900px) the sidebar content is moved to the bottom of the screen below the main content but the sidenav content is hidden. Instead of showing at the bottom of the screen a "Navigation" hamburger menu is shown at the top of the screen and clicking on the hamburger then shows the 'sidenav' content.
This is the normal XF 'sidenav' behavior. Be selective with what you put in the 'sidenav' position versus the 'sidebar' position.
If you want to change the hamburger title to something else, there is a new option in the ACP.
Entering a value for the
Home Page 'Sidenav' Title will have that shown in the hamburger instead on small screens. For example, below is the result of changing the value to "Ack Ack!".
