AMS stencil allows you to:
Add placeholder text to XenForo Article Management System Description
Customise stencils in edit category (edit article category view)
You can customise the placeholder text for each AMS category. So if you have set the above placeholder in your stencil. Your users will see the placeholder text in the description when adding new articles to that category.

You will need XenForo 2+ with AMS to install this addon.
